Frequently Asked Questions
How long does an epoxy floor install take?
Most epoxy floor installations take 1–3 days, depending on the size of the space, the condition of the concrete and the coating system being installed. Some polyaspartic systems can be completed faster, while larger or more complex projects may take additional time of up to a week. During your quote, we’ll walk you through the exact timeline so you know what to expect.
What’s the difference between epoxy, polyaspartic, and urethane?
Each system has its strengths and we help you choose the right one based on how your space is used:
- Epoxy is a durable, cost-effective base coating that provides a seamless, attractive finish.
- Polyaspartic cures much faster and is UV stable, making it ideal for garages and projects that need quick turnaround.
- Urethane is commonly used as a topcoat and offers excellent scratch, chemical and wear resistance. Great for high-traffic or commercial spaces.
We don’t push a one-size-fits-all solution. We recommend the system that makes the most sense for your floor.
Can you coat over my existing epoxy?
In many cases, yes. Existing epoxy can often be recoated if it’s still well bonded to the concrete. We inspect the floor first and perform proper grinding and surface prep to ensure the new coating adheres correctly. If the existing epoxy is failing or peeling, we’ll recommend the best solution to avoid future issues
Do you work on wood subfloors?
Yes. Epoxy can be installed over wood substrates when properly prepared. Because wood flexes more than concrete, the system and prep process must be chosen carefully. We assess the structure and usage of the space first to make sure the coating will perform long-term.
How do I clean and maintain my new floor?
Epoxy and coated floors are very easy to maintain. Regular sweeping and occasional mopping with a mild cleaner is usually all that’s needed. After installation, we provide a maintenance guide so you know exactly how to care for your floor and keep it looking great for years.
Do you offer residential and commercial services?
Yes. We install coating systems for both residential and commercial clients, including garages, basements, shops, warehouses and other commercial spaces. Each project is evaluated individually so the system matches the level of traffic and use.
